“The towers offer a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, plus studios, with the first and second floor space set aside for commercial and retail units. Additional facilities include an on-site cinema, private gymnasium and secure underground parking”, explains Mark Rossouw, International Projects Manager at Reynaers Aluminium.

At the heart of X1 Media City's architectural excellence are Reynaers Aluminium's bespoke solutions. ConceptWall 65 stands out for its ability to create high-performing façades that combine durability with sleek, modern aesthetics. Architects Falconer Chester Hall, alongside the main contractor, Vermont CL, used a unitised façade to shorten the construction period.

The unitised systems were assembled in the workshop and delivered to site ready for installation. In the higher towers, the glazing was installed from the inside. The integration of ConceptWall 65-EF allowed for a seamless exterior that contributes significantly to the towers' visual identity. This approach not only facilitated quicker installations but also reduced the environmental impact associated with traditional construction methods.

Reynaers Aluminium's involvement in X1 Media City goes beyond mere architectural contributions. It delivers tailored solutions that align with developer X1’s vision of density and vertical living.
