Development Engineer

Your key responsibilities:

As a Development Engineer you are responsible for the execution and follow-up of several development projects of the Reynaers product line. Concretely this means that:

• You will produce the technical die and mould drawings, detail drawings, drawings of parts in the assemblies, both 2D and 3D.
• You will also take care of processing plans, catalogue drawings and internal documents (construction drawings, description test setup).
• Later in the process, you are responsible for the development and elaboration of a specific part from the range and support the Development Expert in this.
• You process data independently, look up information and work out various alternatives.
• You set logical deadlines for yourself and monitor your own planning.
• As a member of the Development team, we provide a learning path where you can gradually develop your skills in using the 2D-3D design packages and simultaneously build up your system knowledge.
• You validate your ideas through experiments, using our Tech Lab and 3D printer as well as testing life size setups in our unique test facility (test wall of 15m height) as well as testing facilities abroad.

Your profile:

• You hold a higher (Bachelors) degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction, however if your level of skills is equivalent by experience you are also welcome to apply for our role.
• You are experienced in CAD design and preferably already work on Inventor.
• You have knowledge of structural calculations and/or manufacturing technologies for different materials (aluminium, steel, polymers, elastomers, rubber, ...)
• You have strong analytical skills, are precise and detailed-oriented.
• At the same time you think out of the box, you are a problem solver and never lose sight of the bigger picture.
• You are proficient in English.
