Development Engineer Sliding & Folding

Your Responsibilities:

As a Development Engineer, you are responsible for the execution and follow-up of various development projects within Reynaers' Sliding & Folding product line. Specifically, this includes:

•  Creating technical die and mold drawings, detailed designs, and component drawings in both 2D and 3D.
• Preparing processing plans, catalog drawings, and internal documentation (construction drawings, test setup descriptions).
• Later in the process, you will be responsible for developing and elaborating specific parts of the product range, supporting the Development Expert.
• You independently handle data, research necessary information, and develop various alternatives.
• You propose logical deadlines for yourself and monitor your own planning.
• As part of the development team, we offer a learning path where you can gradually develop your skills in using 2D-3D design software while building system knowledge.
• You validate your ideas through experiments using our Tech Lab and 3D printer, as well as by testing full-scale setups in our unique test facility (a 15-meter-high test wall) and international testing locations.

Your Profile:

•  You have a higher education degree (bachelor) in Electromechanics or Construction. However, candidates with equivalent skills and experience are also encouraged to apply.
• You have experience with CAD design, preferably with Inventor.
• You have knowledge of structural calculations and/or production technologies for various materials (aluminium, steel, polymers, elastomers, rubber, etc.).
• You possess strong analytical skills, are precise, and detail-oriented.
• At the same time, you think outside the box, are a problem solver, and never lose sight of the bigger picture.
• You are proficient in English and preferably also in Dutch.
