Operational Buyer
Your duties:
As an operational buyer, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process of our materials, both for our existing product portfolio and new developments. This position is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or individuals up to 3y experience to work with suppliers and internal colleagues on a daily basis to develop a broad business understanding.
- You will support the procurement process by performing accurate administrative tasks and ensuring efficient order processing
- You are the first point of contact for operational questions to our suppliers. In doing so, you take a customer-oriented approach and support our customer excellence department.
- You are an essential link in building and maintaining sustainable long-term relationships with our key suppliers
- You also monitor and coordinate delivery times and provide administrative follow-up of contracts and price agreements.
- You also take on a coordinating role when articles and/or suppliers are phased in or out.
- You organise and support the structural reporting of our purchase department
- You follow up the introduction of new developments from A to Z. You work on a project basis and ensure that deadlines are not compromised.
- You are in close contact with the various suppliers for ordering prototypes, following up the first deliveries and evaluating them.
- With your proactive attitude, you anticipate problems and build in interim evaluations with suppliers in order to take the necessary actions in good time.
- When a development is ready, you determine the stock policy according to existing guidelines and correctly enter the data into the ERP system.
- You are willing to perform other administrative tasks
Your profile:
- You hold a professional bachelor's degree (business management, supply chain management, international business, logistics management, etc.) or equivalent through relevant experience
- You have an affinity with logistics and supply chain
- You are an administrative jack-of-all-trades who works accurately and also enjoys human interaction with suppliers
- You are hands-on, hands-on, proactive and solution-oriented
- You communicate in a confident, friendly and respectful manner with internal and external stakeholders
- You are a real team player who can also work independently
- You are fluent in the standard office packages (including excel)
- You have good oral and written knowledge of Dutch and English, other languages are a plus
