Where once stood two traditional farmhouses, you can now find two wonderfully renovated villas overlooking the gentle hills of Ancona, Italy. This skilful transformation pays respect to the original rustic architecture and incorporates modern materials to become a symbol of the local identity. Elegant contrast
The first villa, facing east, is surrounded by citrus, olive and cypress trees and overlooks a unique panoramic view. To make full use of the living space, the owners of the villa decided to enclose the portico, creating a large and bright dining room. To enjoy the scenery as much as possible, the residents were looking for innovative window and door solutions. These not only had to be able to effectively close off the openings in the old portico, but do so with respect to the original architecture as well. At the same time, the joinery should frame the panoramic view in an aesthetic way from every angle.

Thanks to these minimalistic profiles you can let in an abundance of natural light and enjoy wide views without interruption. For fabricator DGA the choice was clear: the slim lines and refined details of the aluminium system would perfectly enhance the brick architecture of the home, meeting the performance and living comfort demands of the new renovation project.
As you can tell, the new bright and comfortable dining room can now offer spectacular views of the outdoor panorama to all kinds of visitors. The arched SlimLine 38 Ferro systems bring comfort and light to the new living area. On the inside, their steel-look design emphasises the architectural style of exposed wooden beams, brick faces and the country-chic furniture.
When we look at the opening elements, special window doors match the surrounding aluminium joinery perfectly. They offer a full-height opening with bent profiles that fit the brick arches like a glove. What is more, its ingenious design ensures that the left-hand opening vent can be closed symmetrically on the right-hand fixed element, without any operational worries.
It is the finer details that truly make a difference: curved profiles with Ferro Georgian bars, painted in a black textured Coatex finish that adds great aesthetic value to the villa.
In the end, happy customers are the best free advertisement a fabricator can get. Given the positive reaction of the family in the first villa, their neighbours quickly requested a similar solution, albeit in a different style and colour.
